SticsRFiles - Read and Modify 'STICS' Input/Output Files

Manipulating input and output files of the 'STICS' crop model. Files are either 'JavaSTICS' XML files or text files used by the model 'fortran' executable. Most basic functionalities are reading or writing parameter names and values in both XML or text input files, and getting data from output files. Advanced functionalities include XML files generation from XML templates and/or spreadsheets, or text files generation from XML files by using 'xslt' transformation.

CroptimizR - A Package to Estimate Parameters of Crop Models

The purpose of CroptimizR is to provide functions for estimating crop model parameters from observations of their simulated variables. This process is often referred to as calibration. For that, it offers a generic framework for linking crop models with up-to-date and ad-hoc algorithms, as well as a choice of goodness-of-fit criteria and additional features adapted to the problem of crop model calibration including AgMIP calibration protocol and user-defined sequential multi-step workflow. It facilitates the comparison of different types of methods on different models.

SticsOnR - Manage STICS Simulations Running the Executable or JavaStics,

Running simulations with the 'STICS' crop model. Different ways of performing simulations are available and based on three use-cases: 1/ Calling 'JavaStics' command line to run simulations on given situations. 'JavaStics' handles text files generation from 'XML' files; 2/ Calling the model 'fortran' executable directly. Text files must be produced beforehand; and 3/ Calling the model 'fortran' executable through a wrapper. It can handle distributed runs over the machine CPUs and returns simulated output data. The wrapper also provides a concise manner for running simulations using custom parameter values and allows to chain simulations for successive situations.

CroPlotR - A Package to Analyze Crop Model Simulations Outputs with Plots and Statistics

CroplotR aims at the standardization of the process of analyzing the outputs of crop models using plots and statistics. Users can generate plots presented in dynamic mode with time on the x axis and any simulated and/or observed variable(s) on the y axis or in scatter mode with simulation on the y axis and observations on the x axis. Users can differentiate simulations and observations depending on the situation, model version, or any grouping variable. Thirty two corresponding statistics can be computed in the same manner to assess the quality of the predictions of a model.
